Working Event Farnsfield, Nr Mansfield

between Christmas and New Year024028030

Brilliant indoor catering facilities which were a good job as it rained both days. Blue Force club stand and many members pitched up inside to avoid the rain.

Tractor and Trailer transported the visitors to the working area and toured the field.

Eight Does working and several small tractors but it was very wet in places and a bit of wheel spin was spotted!

NEW DVD FROM PRIMETIME - OPERATION PLANT

Primetime_2012Primetime_2012Primetime_2012Primetime_2012Primetime_2012

Following on from Primetime's first DVD Mad About Classic Plant comes the second installment Operation Plant. We return to the quarry at Sibbertoft to see more vintage and classic caterpillar equipment in action. This time they are shaping and pushing soil in the upper half of the quarry. But this time they had to contend with the wet conditions of 2012 and drainage channels had to be cut in the bottom of the quarry before the muck shifting could begin. We see all of the earth moving action, which this event has become famous for, but this time with more on board cameras fitted to the equipment.
Narrated by Alan Stennett.

AUTUMN WORKING WEEKEND

 September 2012

 Brixworth, Near Northampton
What a great weekend we had. Plenty of ploughing with over 100 acres available, including night ploughing for tractors with lights. Below are a few photos taken including a Caterpillar D6D and 8 furrow reversible Dowdeswell plough that normally does not attend events.
